Clubhouse View

The tee box of the ninth hole presents some wonderful views of the clubhouse, lake and the Salinas Valley beyond. The wide-open par five ninth provides a transition from the sloping fairways of the front nine to the flatter back nine holes. The fairway slopes downhill to the clubhouse and lake and a well-executed tee shot can yield some exceptionally long drives. Second shots must be well placed so as to land between the lake on the right and several large eucalyptus trees on the left. The large flat green is conjoined with the 18th green and this hole can yield many birdies. Out of bounds in the back and bunkers front and rear means judging your distance carefully before you hit your approach.
